Biral
Launched in 2018, Biral’s BTD-200 is a complete lightning detection and warning system that identifies all forms of lightning up to 35km (22 miles) and is designed to be installed by non-technical staff.
Biral’s most corrosion-resistant design, the VPF-730, has been specified for many installations due to its efficiency, reliability and performance. Its long life (15+ years) makes it ideal in coastal or offshore locations where conditions can be severe.
The SWS-200 is designed for applications that require reliable visibility measurements. The sensor measures meteorological optical range (MOR) as well as reporting any liquid and frozen precipitation.
The BTD-350 Thunderstorm Detector is a standalone sensor that detects all forms of lightning up to 83km (52 miles) and is designed for marine applications that encounter severe weather, saltwater corrosion and platform vibration. Its design has been extensively tested in accordance with European marine vibration, marine radio interference and marine corrosion standards.
The BTD-300 Thunderstorm Detector uses new technology and provides significant benefits as a standalone sensor. The system can detect all forms of lightning within an 83km (52 mile) radius and is immune to man-made false alarms.
