Gamic designs and manufactures cost-effective, X-band Doppler weather radar systems for stationary, transportable and mobile applications in the civil and defense weather market. The Gamic Mini Weather Radar (GMWR) series has a diverse range of applications including population protection in urban areas, wind and rain measurement for airport operations, gap-filling in national weather service radar networks, and hydrological measurements in urban and crop areas.
Alongside its X-band Doppler weather radar systems, Gamic designs, manufactures and sells its Enigma IV Weather Radar Signal Processors to weather services and radar partners worldwide. Enigma IV-DPOL represents the de-facto standard in signal processing on the market.
Gamic’s version-4 FROG-MURAN software suite has more than 50 weather processing algorithms, including hydrometeor classification, DPOL rainfall attenuation correction, detection, nowcasting, and real-time warnings.
Gamic’s dedicated airport technologies such as ATC Radar Doppler Weather Extractors and Airport Weather Surveillance Radars (GMWR-WS) have been deployed at German, Swiss and Canadian Air Force sites in cooperation with Hensoldt, as well as at major civil hubs such as Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
